GET THE MONKEY OFF YOUR BACK

Our solution to the mess, the Cable and Light Hider system. For as long as there have been cables connecting the Front of House nerds to the lights and sound-making devices, there has been messes all over the stage. A battle that you have likely fought on one side or the other. In addition to the ugly, stages are getting darker and most XLR and power cables are black, this poses a problem when the musicians are headed off stage. I recall a very talented lead guitarist snagging his in-ear monitor cable as he walked off the stage. Not only did it yank his monitor unit down, the cable wrapped around the head of his guitar and both the Gibson and the stand it sat on fell over. The torque of the cable snag actually slammed the guitar down on the hard wood stage. We can’t guarantee your people will be less clumsy but we can help you mitigate the mess with a way to keep cables neat.

Made from 6mm, fire-resistant expanded PVC, this exclusive system from Stage Skins allows you to keep your stage clean and tidy and takes no skill or creativity to assemble. In addition, the face plates stand off the floor about 1/4” so standard XLR and power cables can pass under at any point throughout the system. That means less side-to-side and more front-to-back cable runs that a wise man or woman would use a bit of gaffer tape or a cable sleeve to take to the next level.

Sweetwater’s offering here.

The anchor pieces have pre-drilled holes on the base for optional fastening to the floor (floor fasteners are not included). Included are push rivets to simply snap the face plates into place with minimal effort and NO TOOLS. No tools means you don’t have to be a tool and ask a professional to help.
