Modular

The greatest asset of Stage Skins’ tiles is that they are modular. The tiles have a series of mounting holes and connector plates, giving them the ability to be connected together into numerous combinations.

Lights and Projection

There are 2 ways to make Stage Skins shine. The first is by using wash lights to transform the color of the tiles and set the atmosphere. The second is by using a projector to turn the tiles into a screen or artistic background.

Shapes

We currently have 5 shapes that make Stage Skins:

Installation

The tiles are made to hang freely off a bar, strut or wall system. Simply use zip ties and stage line to secure the first row of tiles. The connector plates line up the tiles to create a visually pleasing 1” space between each tile. Each connector is fastened with a machine screw and nut and just needs hand tightened. No tools required.

Compatibility

The small/large squares and the small/large rectangles are compatible with each other and are offered individually as a pack or grouped as a kit.

How to calculate Honeycomb

In the example above the orange rectangle represents an available stage set area that is 10’ high x 24’ wide. Find the measurement that is closest to your set size without going over. In the example the set is 10’ high so it rounds down to the 9’ 6” mark. The set space is 24’ wide so it rounds down to the 23’ 1” mark.

Count the number of columns and rows and multiply them to get the total number of tiles needed. In the example above there are 15 columns each with 5 rows. 15 x 5 =75 tiles.

Divide the number of tiles needed by 12 and round up to the nearest full or half pack. In the example above there are 75 tiles needed. 75 tiles / (12 tiles per full pack) = 6.25 packs This means the example needs 6 Full Packs and 1 Half Pack.

Hardware

All necessary fasteners, connector plates and zip ties are included with each pack and set.
